Nevada Day Trips Destination Guide to the Silver State Valley Of Fire State Park, Nevada

Nevada's oldest and largest state park is about a one hour drive from Las Vegas. Your first stop should be the visitor where you can see exhibits on the geology and history of the park. Pick up a map and head out to explore some of the points of interest. Some of the major things to see are Arch Rock, Beehives, Cabins and the Seven Sisters. If your planning more than a day trip there are two campgrounds with 51 units that are available. All campsites are first come, first serve. Entrance Fee: $6.00 per vehicle per day. Camping Fees: 14.00 per night per vehicle. This is a fun scenic day trip from Las Vegas.

Valley of Fire State Park P.O. Box 515 Overton, NV 89040 (702) 397-2088 The Park is located six miles from Lake Mead and 55 miles northeast of Las Vegas via Interstate 15 and on exit 75. Drive your vehicle only on approved routes of travel , and park only in designated places along the roadside shoulders. Motor vehicles are not allowed on trails. The Park is open year round.
