Trains have been part of Nevada since the early days of silver and gold mining. The trains were used to haul out the ore and carry in building material for construction. Today several historic railroads still carry passengers on adventures back in time. The modern city of Las Vegas now has it's own monorail system serving the major hotels. Future plans call for high speed trains to run form Las Vegas to the Los Angeles. By
