Located about 17 miles from Las Vegas is the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Just a short drive from the resorts of the strip is some of the most spectacular scenery in Nevada. Start your trip with a stop at the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center. The center offers information and about wildlife, wild horses and burros, vegetation and the geology of the canyon. Be sure to take the one-way 13-mile scenic drive which is from 6:00am until dusk. Take only pictures removal, disturbance, destruction, or disfigurement of anything in the conservation area is unlawful.
