Historic sites of interest in the Silver State
Fort Churchill State Historic Park - A visitor center displays information and artifacts of the fort's history. Built in 1961 to provide protection for the settlers. The Park is located eight miles south of Silver Springs.
Gold Point Nevada - A real Ghost town. Vacation in the old west. Offers cabins or main house accommodations and tours. Top off your tank at Beatty so you will have enough gas to get back home.
Tonopah Historic Mining Park - All buildings on the property are open for our visitors to enjoy and feel how it was to be working in a turn of the century mining environment.
Rhyolite Ghost Town - Some of the walls of the 3 story bank building are still standing, as is part of the old jail. The bottle house has recently been restored. Future plans are for a visitor center.
Virginia City Nevada - One of the most famous boomtowns in the Old West. Over 2 million visitors per year as the nation's largest National Historic Landmark.
Ward Charcoal Ovens - The park contains six beehive-shaped historic charcoal ovens. Charcoal was then used to run the nearby mills.
Mormon Station State Historic Park - A replica of the original trading post built in 1851 houses a small museum with relics of pioneer days.
Old Las Vegas Mormon State Historic Park - The park includes a remnant of the original adobe fort, which serves as a visitor center with interpretive displays. located in downtown Las Vegas

Belmont Courthouse State Historic Park - Built in 1876, the Belmont Courthouse was the seat of Nye County government until 1905. The Courthouse is open to the public.
